To Live before I Die

If I should wake before I die,

Kill me anyway.

If I should sleep before I live,

Kill me anyway.

Because I don’t want to struggle,

And watch anyone fall.

Because I don’t want to hurt,

And end up killing them all.

Because I don’t want to live,

To show my forgiveness.

Because I don’t want to die,

To show them my weakness.

~ + ~

Because I don’t want to need,

The warmth of another.

Because I don’t want to want,

The warmth of a lover.
