• This is my life and their game,
    Here are the rules,
    You can't be awesome,
    You can't be cool,
    You can't have friends,
    You can't like school

This my life and their game,
    I do everything I can,
    To survive this mess,
    Sure I made it,
But it wasn't supposed to be a game,
I hate it hurts almost to much

    The pain and the stabbing,
    Only gets worse,
    I tried so hard,
    To play by the rules,
Finally it hurt too much and I said,
"I don't wanna go to school"

    The year was new,
I was a sixth grader now,
    It wasn't supposed to hurt,
    It wasn't supposed to sting,
    And it never went away,
    Until that spring

    I was getting better,
    I made more friends,
    Then when school was out,
    All the sting went away,
    Only a bitter taste remained,
    of what happened last spring
