The beach is your life.
Every footprint I've left in it,

I think the shortness is perfect, any longer and it would loose its "sweet" quality.

"The beach is your life" is a very striking line, not only because its quite so original, but because of its implications. I also like the present tense, matter of fact tone it's written in, it adds to the overall impact nicely.

i agree with midnight in chnes, it's awfully short, even for a short, it's barely longer than a haiku, but iut is a great poem.
