The ties that bind us are strong, yet they are weak at the same time. If these ties that bind us as one should break, would we just become two people or would we stay connected. If these ties should wither away, would we stay together. If these ties that bind us should be cut, would we be seen as one or two separate people. If these ties should dissolve, would you and I still look at each other the same or would we look at each other differently?

I love the concept of this poem and the wording in which you present it. My only suggestion is to take out the breaks and write it in paragraph form, becasue the breaks disturb the verse's natural flow.
