• A wanderer came across an old man sitting on the bank of a river, gazing peacefully upon it's ever continuous flow. The wanderer stopped, and kneeled at the old man's side, then asked, "Excuse me sir, but to you happen to be a wiseman, per chance?"

    The old man looked at him, then at the ground, confused, stroking his chin in deep contemplation of this inquiry. After several moments, he looked up at the wanderer and responded:
    " This is a very good question indeed! For if i say that i am, then obviously I am not. However, if i say that i am not, then i would not be telling the truth!"
