• It’s a damn cold day
    I try to find my way
    Through the crowd of people on the streets

    The roads are frozen
    No cars are passing by
    I keep on walking and start to cry

    Kids are on the road using it as a skating ring
    All of a sudden I hear an angel sing
    A song that makes me weep

    I see a light that burns
    I hear a car as it tries to turn
    But can’t and is going at the kids

    I wasn’t really thinking as I ran out in the road
    I was scared for the children that were having so much fun
    So I had to get it done

    That dreadful day I had been killed
    By a driver that was high
    But I knew I did the right thing as I floated up into the sky
