Deep inside this darkness,
There's a never ending pain.
Deep inside the clouds,
There's never ending rain.
Deep inside this wounded heart,
There's only pain and fear.
Deep inside my crying eyes,
There's only one more tear.
Deep inside my crowded mind,
I'm here and all alone.
Deep inside my peeling skin,
I'm bruised to the bone.
Deep inside as empty cell,
I'm sitting on the floor.
Deep inside my shadowed room,
I can only see the door.
Deep inside this crying soul,
There's a broken heart.
Deep inside this lonely man,
He's being torn apart.
Deep inside this friendly smile,
There's only one more word.
Deep inside my painful scream,
There;s nothing to be heard.
