It doesn't make sense in a lot of places because it's not consistent. The speaker is asking the animal what they see, but the response is either in the speaker's point of view or the animal's point of view.

Furthermore, there isn't much meaning to the poem. The way I interpret the poem is "This girl is cheating on me so I should dump her"; there's no real lesson to be learned here considering it is common sense to end a relationship when someone is cheating.
