• Masks

You have seen them during Halloween. In movies and on television. But have you seen them anywhere else?
People wear masks to cover their pain…
They use them to shield themselves.
They are used to make people “look better.”
They are used to fit in.
They may seem happy when they are hurt.
    They hide the person underneath.
    They hide the truth.
    They hide feelings.
They hide the feelings of hate, love, and fear.
They hide the truth and the lies.
Someone might ask how do you feel.
Do you tell them the truth?
    Do you answer truthfully?
Some people might lie or seem happy.
But they might be crying or dead on the inside.
They might have been through more then you can imagine.
For all you know they might have lost someone.
    They might have lost something.
For all we know that person might have been through lots of trauma.
The might have been in a crash.
They might have been in a hospital because of a disease, injury, or something even worse.
But for all we know they have a mask.
    They may not.
They might not be hiding anything.
They might be as they say...
But take this to heart, people may seem happy but their mask could be hiding the truth…
