The bird with the broken wing-
It cannot fly.
The bird with the broken wing-
It cannot touch the sky.
The broken bird's song
Makes me cry.
The broken bird's life
Is but a sigh.

The bird with the broken wing
Is forever caged.
The bird with the broken wing's
Only friend is age.
The bird with the broken wing
Feels only pain, not rage.

The bird with the broken wing-
It cannot fly.
The bird with the broken wing-
It cannot touch the sky.
The broken bird's song
Makes me cry.
The broken bird's life
Is but a sigh.
The bird with the broken wing
Yearns to die.
