Legacy

• Description: When I took care of a small baby for a night, I realized what a blessing it was to have her in my life. She is my neice. I wrote this for her and all of the children out there in the world.
  I know, it's hard to believe that I could write something like this, right? After all that dark poetry... lol

Legacy

A baby is a miracle
Someone to call your own
To carry on your legacy
And never leave you alone

They are a responsbility
A great one, it's true
But treat them with love and care
And they'll always love you, too

A great blessing they are
Not a burden to bear
Love them forever and always
Because when you need them most, they will always be there

You watch them as they grow
Help them when they fall
And if you love them always
They'll answer your every call

As they grow, they'll make mistakes
Learning from each one
And as they grow, they'll have their own
And shine brightly like the sun

There goes the cycle
The passing on of love
And someday soon each legacy
Will be joined in Heaven above

Beautiful Poem. Some things I want to recommend to you, please know this is only trying to help you.

The word choice was a bit poor. I would work on picking stronger words in the future. Also Developing your lines a bit to add some mystery and to provoke thought into your reader's mind.

Overall this was a wonderfully done poem
