• I asked the leaf why it was green
And it wrinkled and turned golden red
I asked the cloud why it was gray
And it wept tears of dejection
I asked the fire why it was warm
And it dwindled and died into cold ashes
I asked the light to shine
And it was chased away by creeping darkness
I asked the stars to illuminate
And it did, and the brightness was blazing with brilliant diamonds
I asked the seas why they were so wide
And they stretched further as blankets of undulating blue green
I asked myself why so many questions
    And the trees blossomed
    The birds sang
    The breeze whispered
And I kept quiet and everything was perfect
