• falling down a rabbit hole
    a curious descent
that bunny rabbit's all dressed up
    just what will happen next

passing things that aren't quite norm
    floating clocks, pointless doors
    phones forever getting calls
these doors lead somewhere after all

awake in a field, surrounded by blooms
they sing and dance, "Who are you?"
    a caterpillar enters view
he says again, "Who are you?"

    a spooky wood, paranoia, assumptions
a set of eyes rest on a stump
a cat appears, one needn't run
perfectly harmless, though he frightens some

eat me, drink me; the labels trick
these treats will leave one feeling sick
suddenly too small, too big to fit
then drown in a pool of tears

white roses? these just wont do
the queen, she wants them red!
playing cards work for their lives
    "off with all their heads!"

an unfair trial, the queen herself
    size seventeen at best
a bitter woman, large and loud
    an unflattering red dress

make an escape, that sleeping door!
the keyhole shows a way back home
turn the knob, its locked, won't budge
too slow, off with your head.
