If only I had a way to survive in this world
Without being ignored
And instead being heard
But the rain has poured
And will never stop

I sit here alone
Trying to hide my sorrow
While inside I moan
Wishing someone will notice me
But whenever I try to talk
The words won’t come out

If only I could gaze at the stars
While lying next to the one I love
But I’m trapped behind these bars
Screaming louder and louder
But no one can hear me
So I sit here in silence waiting for someone to come and save me
If only I had a way to survive in this world
