Fast subsiding in a clumsy world
no one knows anything anymore
like a distant peal from a fading bell
we've made ourselves this living hell
Round every corner with violence or hate
our actions the reapers of a soulless gate
like a stone statue in a graveyards hold
our nicer emotions have begun to mold
We quickly mock those we see in plight
we no longer know our wrong from right
but let this not be hypocrits song
someone will change us before too long
Wether that someone is someone outside
is something we need to grasp and fight
for the better one would surely be
the better one inside of you and me
To reach for compassion in the deepest dark
to blow out the cobwebs in our hearts
to grasp for a moment of humanity
to bring back what it means to trully be free
To care for someone whos been through tears
to learn to fight back our darkest fears
to find someone that we once lost
to bring them back at any cost...
You might think this is a silly rhyme
and for most you're probably right
but to those out there who see like me
look into yourself and make yourself free...
