• I feel the world slipping through my fingers,
falling effortlessly, descending into dark abyss.
    The sun is extinguished, annihilated
    replaced only by desolate darkness.
Though life is fogged with pain and and dulled with resent,
the bruises left by you seem to illuminate in the shadows.
I look into your deep, aphotic eyes and see a dark, cold ocean
    I'm drowning...
I feel your hands around my neck as the air escapes my body and breaks through to the surface in little bubbles.
My lungs are broken down, for I scream with no sonancy
    You release me.
Your hands and fingers are replaced with dark shades of blue on my ivory skin.
I hear the door click behind you as you lock it,
leaving me alone in my empty room only accompanied by the shadows casted by the bare trees outside
It's just me and my shadowy friends now.
    No more blood unwillingly taken,
no more bruises forced upon my arms and legs.
    I am safe...
    For now.
