i]i have finally found it,
finally
after all these years of waiting,
the thing i have wanted more than anything in the world.

it brings people sadness,
and people mourn and grieve
when they lose someone to this,
this power

i have waited my whole life,
waiting, watching,
the funerals, the suffering,
the mourning.

it will come to an end,
because i've finally found it.
the power that will give meaning to the sadness of the world.
the power that will take me away,
from the sorrows

the scars, and blood from the past,
will be revealed tonight.
the very night that the power will take me away.
forever.

the horrifying truth will come with this.

i like the imagery. prose poetry is very fun. you should read some of e. e. cumming's work. if you like him you can start experimenting with formatting and punctuation and maybe that will inspire you to write even more
