• I see you in the shadows of the trees in the moonlight.
How beautiful you are, the wind blowing through your long, dark hair.
You gently swayed to the inaudible music flowing in the air.
I thought how peaceful you looked dancing in the middle of the lonely graveyard.

I loved how the white dress wrapped around you as you twirled in circles.
Tears ran down your face, as you remember you can no longer perform for the living.
But I am here, watching you perform amongst the tombstones.
I want to run up and hug you, but I don't want to disturb your show.

The tears that fall from your eyes make lovely lights around your perfect body.
The moon transformed them into small lamps floating up and providing you a spotlight.
I continued to watch you move gently in the cold air, making no mistakes in your steps.
Souls rose from the tombstones to see what my eyes are witnessing.

You smiled, because now you have another audience to watch you.
You danced and danced until your heart was content.
As you bowed and placed a hair behind your ear, I stood up and clapped.
You jumped to see me standing there and clapping for you.

I saw your bright blue eyes widen when I came forward.
You ran up to me and hugged me with long, pale arms and large tears.
I could not feel you, but I felt the love in your non-beating heart and your existence around me.
I held you back and looked back in your beautiful eyes.

"You looked amazing dancing for the souls of this graveyard," I said.
You smiled and whispered "I did my best," Like you always say after a performance.
Tears ran down my face when I saw the smile you always give me.
Your pale hand reached up and wiped away my tears.

"Don't worry. I know you miss me and I miss you, too," She said.
"But remember that now I'm happy and no longer in pain this way.
My heart belongs here, I shall perform for these souls that no longer belong with the living.
I wanted to see you one last time.. I wanted to finally let you go, so you can let me go as well."

With that, she let go of me and twirled once more.
"My heart belongs here. I did not want to die in the accident, but it was destiny.
Live your life like you are supposed to.. I will always love and watch over you.."
She continued to dance in the middle of the graveyard for the souls that came to watch.

Slowly her spirit faded away in the darkness.
I wiped the rest of my tears and headed back to my home..
When I arrived, my husband greeted me with a warm hug.
I gently cried in his arms as I hugged him back.

"I saw her.. She was still dancing.." I told him.
He hugged me tighter and kissed the top of my head.
"She'll be alright," He whispered, "Our dear daughter can always find happiness in her dancing shoes."
