• Societal Anomaly 5.18.09

    Strung together like clothes
Hanging from balcony lines- the string theory of life
    Summertime love, love, lovin'
The anomaly of time and space and apathy
The disasterous flap-flap-flapping of the butterflies tapping
    w i n g s
How beautiful it sings- the breeze shifts: sifts through, whispers with anomalies
While the Earth quakes and shakes, slips down the shoulder
Of the ecumenical love, thin like rice paper: easy to break.

The fragile demented hearts of sinners in the night
The chaos theory falling in love with the butterfly effect- a disasterous life
Like a train wreck; spent and bent- broken like aged tokens
For a bus ride home (where the bus will stop, nobody knows)
Your house no longer stands- heart broken rubble is what America demands
But keep the keys to your home tied around your neck- tight, tight, tight
While crimson red stains the dirt that you've walked all your life
As humanity forgets, forfeits; s l i p s-- lets out the hunting dogs to chase down your kind
You poor little white rabbit, no wonder you're always running out of time.

We're racing against fate, you and him and her and I
While this whole life's been one big l i e
As they drained our hearts of faith and love and tears to cry
Replacing it with their ag'ed wine, talking hypocritical trash
As they bash, bash, bash each other with disasterous slips of the tongue- a smile
Demanding us to be quiet, our lips quiver and riot
With a sober aquiline importance- the initial condition of a tumultuous, disasterous moment:
    An experiment gone wrong.
The imperceptable, inconceivable blood splatter called l o v e.
