• Dear Sweet Innocence
    Where have you gone?
    I’ve searched for you high,
    I’ve searched for you long…

    Upstairs downstairs in the halls
Through the doors, and through the walls.
I looked in places you see in dreams
While my life tears at the seams.

    Curiouser, Curiouser, where I look
In places you read in books.
My mind, it reels as I read,
On my forehead my sweat will bead.

My body shakes, and my hearts set aquiver
I feel the cold, and I start to shiver
The darkness that each alley weeps
Nightmares outside, while a child sleeps.

The days of sweetness, is lost at last,
If only the now was set in the past,
I could walk through the street without a care
Not looking ‘ore shoulder to see who is there.

My body has seen its share of fear
Some too much for someone my year.
I’ve seen the evils of this day and age,
The evil that no longer is locked in a cage.

I judge no pact, I see no trust
I close my heart, the lock it will rust,
Cross my heart and hope to die,
This world d corrupt, I will not lie.

This world will rot, and never thrive
All because evil and hate is it’s drive.
We will disappear, our race will vanish,
And then of corruption our world will famish
    Be reborn into something new,
With grasses, green and oceans blue,
A fresh start, free of hate and lies.
Free of humans, where all time flies.

    Dear Sweet Innocence,
    Where do you hide?
    In the light of course,
    Your not on this side.
