• Once upon an afternoon,
The sky let out an Awesome Boom,
Tears fell from her cloudy eyes,
And washed away all of our lies,

The sleeping lives under the stone,
Woke up to give a mighty groan,
Shook the trees and blew away,
All the sins I saw that Day,

Her breath, the wind, lashed violently,
As a crooked old willow wept silently,
Her tragic tale was ne'er told,
Her happy future would not unfold,

    Emotionless I stood and watched,
a home's roof (by wind) was notched,
And tears fell madly from the sky,
She sobbed with anger, I wondered why,

Rage flashed dangerously across her face,
While people ran to a safe place,
But by the window I'd remain,
To hear her boom at us again,

Rivers near us did over flow,
And filled the houses built too low,
    Waters like a big stampede,
    Carried away man's evil deed,

    Darkness washed away with tears,
    Pride replaced with mindless fears,
    Egos quickly washed away,
On that dark and icy day,

Howling through the trees and halls,
She pushed against the concrete walls,
But soon she calmed and slowly died,
Man took back his foolish pride,

    Forget about the darkened skies,
Tears that fell from cloudy eyes,
When she let out an awesome boom,
    Once upon an afternoon.
