• Running away
    No time to spare
    Lost out of my mind
    Gasping for air
    Completely confused
    Not knowing what to do
    Scared and upset
    If only you knew
    Looking left
    Looking right
    Finding absolutely nothing in sight
    Stopped dead in my tracks
    Standing completely still
    I’m trying to relax
    A sudden fear
    Now fills myself
I turn around, wide eyed, to see
A black shadow of the man who’s chasing me
Straining my eyes as best I can
I witness something held in his left hand
    I hear the leaves rustle
    As he walks towards me
    Slowly and slyly
    And unremorsefully
I can feel it in myself
    The end is coming near
As thoughts run through my head
My eyes well up with tears
    He moves slightly closer
    With every breath, he steps
    I conjure up emotions
    That fear this sudden death
My eyes directly seek to find
    His slightly hidden hand
Of which I see that object
    Extend at his command
The silver, shiny, sleek but sharp
    Blade invades my face
As he slowly waves it around
    With an unexpected grace
    I pay attention closely
As I feel the sharpness of the blade
My life flashes before my eyes
All my memories begin to fade
    It’s over now
    My body is numb
    There’s no turning back
    My time has come
