• From the noiseless cries of chaos
To the deafening silence of peace
This world will never be satisfied

The uncontrollable indecisiveness of the masses
Never will the hunger for more be contented
Restless will they be until they have died

    For those wars fought overseas
Over these so-called “necessities of life”
From democracy to oil to the weapons of mass destruction

One does not need the imitations of satisfaction
We need to rethink our priorities
    We need instruction

For this, one thing is needed
A ray of hope that pierces through
That will give sustenance to our needs

This thing is patient and kind and is never jealous
    Never will it abandon us
True it will be to the end of our deeds
