• I hold back tears
    that wish to seep out
as I watch him walk away.
As he nears his car, I start to pout

Then all my pain comes crashing out.
My tears are like rain hitting my skin,
they are warm to the touch, unlike my frozen heart.

    It was all my fault
that he walked down the drive
    to leave me here
    to try to say alive.

    He looks back at me
and I turn away, not knowing what to say.
    I fall to the floor
    ravaged by anger and pain.

    My pain became cries
    as my heart slowly dies.

He will be happy, and I,
    I will be in pain
    living with the awful memory
of his back in the rain...
