• It is no secret in this world
That Life has wronged us all
When we get to the peak of the mountain
We seem to always trip and fall

When the flower begins to blossom
    It always gets mowed down
When we've almost reached the shore
    Our vessel sinks, we drown

Life loves to always give us gifts
But more to take them away
    We never commited any crime
    Yet we have to pay

    When you're playing board games
    I would have you know
That you'll always get sent straight to jail
    Just before passing GO

At times it can seem whiny
About Life to sit and complain
    But with so many wrongdoings
Is it happiness we are to feign

    Upon you hated Life
    No pain have we inflicted
So then I must ask you why
To hurting us, you are addicted

    Have we done something wrong
Of which we do not know
That has upset you so much, Life
That you trouble us with woe

Life must get some sick pleasure
From watching us fight our fate
That's why when we've almost made it
    He yanks away the bait

And now I feel I must tell you, Life
That you're no friend of mine
But your sister, Death, will save me
And on ramen we will dine

And now my friends the time has come
    That I must bid adieu
But remember when Life knocks you down
    Death will see you through
