I hear music when I walk outside my door,
And the clang clang of construction keeps time to my step;
The boom of thunder leers in my ears,
And the crackle of leaves in the wind;
The pitter-patter of rain on the cement,
And the woosh of air against me;
The caw caw of the crow on the street,
And the crunch of gravel at my feet;
The thump thump of my heart beating,
And the knock of a neighbor at a door;
The plink of water from the drain pipe,
And the plonk as it hits the ground;
The slam of hammers to the house,
And the buzz of saws add to the mix,
While the stomp of my feet finish the orchestra.
But the music never ends.
I hear music. Can you?
