• Let them be as wolves
    Speedy, strong, sleek, sly
Convinced that they are free to roam,
    But trapped by borders.

I’d rather be a colorful fish,
Bright and new as a baby star.
Free to travel the entire ocean.
I may not be the smartest,
And your expectations of me are low,
    But deep down,
    They’re jealous.
    Jealous of my freedom,
Jealous of the untold dangers I face,
Jealous of the mysteries I find down in the depths of darkness,
    Jealous of my adventures,

… jealous of my ability to run away…

So let them be as wolves, bound by orders and ranks,
    At least I’m free,
Even if my freedom is insecure.
