For Me, Nothing

Then and now, I thank you for
the nothing you have given me.
for if I didn’t have them, I
would not want the me I’d be.
The peace I’d have of cake and bliss
truth not be told by wife
and kids, I’d have a few by then. . .
I love this lonely life.
