Alone and Cold
Alone and cold, Dripping and wet
So close to death, but not there yet
People walk past, people look down
They tut, they sigh and others just frown
How did she get here? Why did nobody care?
She had nothing and noone, yet nobody shared
No money, no shelter, no food and no aid
All she had was old and decayed
This be the trauma of a person alone
No money, no family, no love and no home...

- Title: Alone and Cold
- Artist: nadinerater
- Description: I wrote this just over an hour ago whilst waiting on my bus.... which didnt come, had to wait on the next one. Im like drenched to the skin! Whilst standing getting soaked it came into my head how others where worse off etc. This poem focuses on how unsympathetic and uncaring us humans can be through the eyes of a homeless girl. Short and not great but its been forever since ive written.

Amazing, how you framed this image so perfectly.
Its kind of a comic relief how you made it rhyme (I havent been reading much rhyming things lately), but I especially love the simplicity of it. Awesome piece, I think you portrayed these isolated feelings very well.
Five stars, definately. - Report As Spam
