• A Twist in Wonderland

There once was a little dream
Who wanted to be big and strong
The poor little dream would do anything
    Even if it did wrong
The little dream didn’t want to vanish
    As tiny as it was
“How do I get people to see me?”
    It thought before a pause
It thought and thought before exclaiming
“I can get stronger! This I see!
I’ll let people make the world
    when they wander into me!”

    A woman of the spade
Was the first to wander in
    She boldly held a sword
And wore a red spade pin
She cut down all that stood in her path
Left a crimson trail all her own
The forest locked her up from sin
As is the forest, she is unknown

A man of the diamond wandered next
    And tamely sang his song
It produced such a crazy world
    Where everything went wrong
This man bloomed bright red roses
    From which another man shot
The wound bloomed like his flowers
    His song no one forgot

The child of clover wandered third
And had the prettiest figure in the land
    She created the strangest country
    Where she ruled over man
    Many then indulged
In this beauty of a queen
But soon she saw not beauty
    Only rotting flesh was seen

    The fourth brought curiosity
The two twins of the heart
    Big sister is the toughest
    Little brother is very smart
They came to close within their walk
To the dark cell of the spade
And the woman took dear sister
    Their escape has been forbade

    The dream only grows stronger
With its power it des vex
And the only thing it ever asks
Is who, dear victims, is next?
