-
Drops of silver fall around me,
Breaking upon the floor,
Darkness gapes from a rim of white,
Riddled ruby splashes against the porcelain,
I don’t want to face that girl,
Taunting me from the wall,
She must go,
With her hollowed eyes,
And deadpanned face,
Shadowed soul and multiple disgrace,
I’ll kill her with my hands,
Rip her from my face,
Yet she revives,
To laugh at my despair,
Always here and never there,
I’ve smashed a million,
Broken souls,
I’ve reaped countless lives,
The blood that stains these hands is truly mine,
Yet….
That is not my face.

- Description: This is a poem about a girl who can't seem to rid herself of her dark side. In desperation, she launches herself at other people and rips them apart, thinking that would help her. However, each time she gets up from her kill, that face she hates stares back at her from something reflective. She murders again and again, not realizing she has become the very thing she hates.
