On you back is your gift to fly
As I watch your take them to the sky
I watch those wings as they soar
Higher and higher, forever more
Oh, the tricks you would do,
Oh, the things that were new,
All the twists you turned
And all the things you learned
I wondered in aw,
At all the things that I saw
You came down to visit me today
There, you would say
“You should fly.”
I decided I should try.
Through all your teaching
And your preaching
I flapped them has you’d shown.
But by that time I should have flown
I guess I’m just not meant to be
Where you fly so carelessly
But then I realized theses chains
They cause us so much pain
I will forever be bound
On this blood stained ground
That is something I’ll never understand
For I must keep my feet on this land
But I guess it’s true
I’m not meant to fly with you
But I’ll never forget your kindness
For it will be fadeless
And so this is goodbye
I hope one day, I will fly

Description:
Dear Reader
i wrote this poem because there is a guy at my school that is very successful and I know I will never be like him and "fly." Sometimes I even wonder if i even want to fly. Please comment if you have suggestions or just plain comments.
