• When I Wake Up~

    I watch you walk away, like you've done so many other times before. And every time we part, I reach for you, but I miss. I scream your name, but you can't hear me. All I can do is walk away without saying a word. From a distance, I watch the space between our bodies expand until there's nothing left but empty space and silence.

    I'll wake up, and you'll be waiting for me.

    This overbearing silence seeps into my skin, while I practically drive myself insane just to hear that one voice in my ears and wanting nothing more than to feel safe again.

    You're gone for a little while, but it always feels like forever to me. While waiting for rain in this drought, a twisting storm of loneliness and sadness inside my heart brings me to my knees.

    I'll wake up, and you'll be waiting for me.

    When your arms are around me, it feels like the world has stopped turning. This happiness feels like a shower of sparks falling from the stars. And when the last remaining space between our lips is almost gone, I'll wake up.
