I Run My Life, Not You

• Description: I wrote this when I was 15 and my parents were trying to be super controlling. I'd been raped and was prego, and they thought that they could make me do whatever. I wrote this and made my parents go to a talent show my school was having. I did this poem and they actually shut up and stopped trying to make me do stuff. I even got 2nd place in the talent show :D

You can't control me.
You can't make me.
You can't break me.
You do not run my life.
You can't put the words in my mouth.
You can't make my own decisions.
You can't stop me from being who I wanna be.
You can't change who I am.
You have no effect on me.
Remember,
I run my life, not you.
