What is it that causes
want,
causes lust
mistake
and greed?
What is it that causes
mercy,
causes love,
hope
and grace?
Does humanity create this?
Or does it create
humanity?
Do we define these things,
or do they define us?
Are we lost?
Alone?
Or are we found and
watched?
Judaism, Hinduism,
Christianity and Pagism.
What is the purpose?
Why do we ask such
questions?
Are we looking for meaning,
for truth,
for absolute answer?
Or are we trying to
understand it,
comprehend what’s
already there?
Is there a reason
to care?
To forsake?
Is there a life beyond
our own?
These questions are
impossible.
Arbitrary in their
nature.
As many have before,
and many will after,
I have decided to stop.
Enough searching,
seeking,
questioning.
At last I shall reside
to rest, and wait,
to sit beneath
wisdom’s tree
and see what is to
be.

Description:
I had this pointed out to me, and I think it's about the point of the poem. It's obvious. The entire poem is something that everyone thinks and doesn't need to be said. That's about what it's about. Things that don't need to be said or found

You are a master at the art of free verse, a weaver of dreams, a fireside raconteur.
Does humanity create this?
Or does it create
humanity?
That hits me. - Report As Spam
