• Those blue, pale eyes that glimmer in light
Like the silver marionette that danced at night.
Strings so thin, they swayed with the trees
Like a feather floating, along with the bees.
Alone it danced to the tune of the stars
A tune that could never bring fear or scars.
The marionette faded one cold day
The day those blue eyes withered away.
Along with dreams of happiness and hope
Without his eyes, I just cannot cope.

The happiness in his face had faded
As the looks in his eyes became jaded

    As he walks away
I know I will never see the look I once knew
I still wait for that day
Even though I know it's hopeless to do.
