Every night a boy of three
Stares out of his window at an old oak tree
He knows under the leaves and bark
Lies a creature stirring in the dark
The boy waits anxiously for the light of day
For that's when the monster goes away
As the boy grows older he begins to see
That it isn't a monster in the tree
It is old man higgins from across the street
Who spent his nights watching the young boy sleep

- Title: Monster in the tree
- Artist: Ollie Holmes
- Description: A bit of dark humor in a simple child like poetry format. Love writing like that and I got the idea while thinking of an old piece of mine. Oh, and feedback would be nice tell me what you liked what you didn't. Thank you!
