• It wasn’t supposed to be like this.
    I once pure,
Made to walk in the light.
    Until that fateful day

    It was the day,
That you first told me your story,
    And contently I listened.
    And then,
You led me through the beautiful white light.
    Past sweet meadows divine,
To the darkness of the gates.

It wasn’t supposed to be like this,
    I was so young,
    So vulnerable,
    So childish.
    But you took my soul.
    You converted me.
You locked my soul in a tall dark tower.
    Then hid the key.
    You made me me.

    There was a time,
If I saw the girl I am now,
    I would’ve screamed.
I would have hated this life.
    But now,
    I walk in the darkness.
