• Warmth and fire bring chills at bay,
Eggnog and festive cookies bring the children to stay.
Laughter and happiness reigns the skies,
There are no sniffles and hopefully no cries.

Two little children go wandering at night,
Seeking secrets upon those that shed no light.
There are no secrets upon wrapped gifts,
But upon the reveling is joy and bliss.
Following the festivity will a child pursue,
You cannot blame them for peeking a little too.

Shocked little eyes and trembling hands,
Tears of joy brings together family and friends
Jolly smiles and chuckles fill the room,
Where a child’s dreams happily come true.

Finally the morning seems to cool,
The day proceeds as well as the festivity booms.
Christmas is a day for presents and fun
But we must not forget what else is done.
    Family and friends gather together,
As one last reminder of the connection that will never sever.
