• Lonely skies are overcast and grey
It seems the lion's roarin' in this March evening
The month has long passed by now
But I'll still write you a message today

In an old journal lyin' on my desk
It may be obsolete but I can't regret
Twirling the end of the tube
That fell out your pocket one day

    Sliding over the paper silently
As though an old careful snake
Was living in that lipgloss tube
As I wrote the date of this year

    In simple big pink letters
I write the date from last month
    Today is the anniversary
    Of losing a Valentine's kiss

A Valentine's Eve rain nourishing earth
    A month ago today
At nine o clock on the thirteenth day
    You fell out of reach

Like my love you can only see the letters
If you look at it from the right angle
I dragged my finger across it then
    And then upon my lips

    You will get my message
But not it the way you will expect
You will hear the Valentine Eve rain
    And smell the old lipgloss
