• As the sunlight lifts the desert winds,

There’s no one out there to call me home,

The greatest mysteries of our lives,

They have no other place to go.

And I’m not one who likes a long farewell,

Just reach me closer to the shore,

And where in this world will my spirit fly,

To touch the skies from down below.

And I’m up for the level,

Of the perils and the travel,

To go where no one’s gone,

    Like never before,

And I’ll never say goodbye to you,

We’ll meet as we used to long ago,

These departing tears I cannot cry,

    Just listen for me,

And I’ll be back before you know.

And when the darkness fills the night,

Out there is something you cannot fight,

The wisdom of these words guides me back to the light,

    As life goes on,

    On and on.

Lying north of here a land of ice,

The south a temple made of fire,

To the west a tower of wind lies,

A kingdom in the east comprised of earth.

I know that it has been a long time,

Since I left you on the shore,

But when the time comes I’ll arrive

With what I’ve gained from my travels to show.

But as much as I’m learning,

    I must keep searching,

    With every place I go,

    I find a new door,

And I’ll never cease from standing by,

Till someone out there calls me home.
