Marks

I've been used and abused,
Beaten and exposed,
But nothing have I encountered,
Is as bad as you opposed,
You were tortured and scared,
You were kicked when you were down.
They made marks on us no man could erase,
They mocked us,
They hated us,
But if only they knew who we were inside,
What would they have done?
