• I don't recognize her.

The image in the mirror staring back,

    that's not me.

    She moves as I do,

but we do not think or feel the same things.

    She screams at me,

Don't put that in your mouth!

You'll be bigger than a house!

    You think you look pretty?

No one will ever love you.

    I try to ignore her,

    But she's so loud,

    so much stronger than me.

    You're pathetic.

    Go away.

    I'm all you have.

    No you're not.

    They don't love you.

    Yes, they do.

    They can't.

    Why?

    Sometimes she goes away,

    and I can breathe again.

    But she always comes back,

    she inspects what I've done,

    to our body.

    And I am punished.

    She yells, taunts, and insults.

    I am powerless.

    You think they love you?

    You're nothing to them!

    When will you learn,

    everything in life,

you'll have to work three times harder,

    than anybody else for.
