• A million hearts fell,
    A billion tears dropped,
    Thousands died,
    And a world watched.
    Hundred of prayers
    Consumed one nation,
    Surprised by an act
    Of pure damnation.
    All brought together,
    By the sounds of hell
    As pure and clear
    As the liberty bell.
    Heroes were born,
    And heroes were lost,
    So many changes
    At such a high cost.
    A decade later,
    We mourn with respect.
    Those then alive
    Can still recollect,
    the infamous day
    remembered with power,
    When America bled
through the wounds of two towers.
