• A moon was cast full, over the smiles of two,
as daylight had given them hours so few.

Beneath the twilight, they fell in embrace
with the moonlight dancing across each face.

A tender kiss gave he on her lips,
as a hand slipped gently down to her hips.

A rhythm was set out in the night,
as two hearts would beat a song, very slight.

A tear of such love slid down her cheek.
Her love she had found and would no longer seek,

for his arms held security, his soul and his eyes.
Nothing so beautiful she had ever felt inside.

Fireflies lit a path for the two.
Hand in hand, they strolled into the blue.

For every star in that clear, night sky.
never seemed to match the sparkle in his eye.

And every sunrise that took the night's place,
never seemed to match the smile on his face.

He lit up her soul, her heart always fluttered,
and in that sweet darkness, words of love he did mutter.

They gazed. They kissed. They held close, tight.
As their love lit up that calm, sweet night.

Through all they had endured, their love always grew.
    And the only witnesses were,
    The moon and the two.
