• A spark of light, A flash of heat
The end ignites in a warm glow

Cherry red it burns, ashy grey smoke wafts away
I watch my cigarette burn, and it makes me think of the world

Everyone is born to a flash of light, a burst of heat
We all come out the same, but we are all not the same

    Some give, some take
Some fuel machines with greed and lust, strip the land of what it offers
Others replace what was taken before, a silent thank you for the means of survival.

People will wake the same as before, the difference in what they wake for.
Many will wake to the call of a clock, telling them it’s time to earn their keep.
Few wake to the sound of glamour, knowing their keep is already waiting.

We all are different, but in all we are the same.
Religion and race breed way to hatred, just so some have something to speak against.
Some are born of a different cloth, and find no peace in the quilt of life.

No matter how we act, how different we all may seem
We are all the same, just like a cigarette

We are born in a factory, whether machine or flesh
A flash of light, a burst of heat we breathe
We burn away our lives as we please, choosing when to go and when to slow
In the end we are just the same
The glowing cheery of life dims, we see our end is near
Then in an instant it is snubbed, and tossed away

    Some give, Some take

In the end we are all the same.
