Escalating..."

These words and feelings plagued Ryu for years in her dreams.

Dreams of memories from her childhood take the place of the random fun dreams she fell in love with. Dreams of shoes and ships and ceiling wax werereplaced by nightmares of the past.

Giant, monsterous beast fighting infront of her.

Ryu hated it.

"Wake up Ryu, we're here."

Ryu's eyes flashed open and she screamed in a not so girly scream as other girls."Let me down!" Ryu shook her way out of his arms and fell on her butt. She looked up and saw giant stone formation with a small opening.

"This is it."Itachi said

"Well you can go die in a pitt of flames, and jump in a hole with Orochimaru."She pouted and crossed her arms.

"You never come easily, do you?"

She just stuck out her tongue.

"Whether you want to or not you coming in. By the way I'm not the only one you know in the Akatsuki."Itachi said close to her ear.

Ryu wirled around wide-eyed."WHO ELSE WHO ELSE?"

"You won't know until you join."

"Grr..."Ryu paced back and forth with her chin on her fist." This is not the smartest thing to do, but I'll come."

"Good."

"But you have to promise on thing."

"sigh what?"

"You have to promise to not act mean to me like a criminal would, you have to be my best friend again."

"..., ok."

Ryu jumped and skipped around."Ok I'm in."She ran ahead of them."Last one their is a rotton egg!"She yelled.

"Itachi-san, you seem to act different around this girl, almost friendly."

"Kisame, I simply know what buttons to push. Trust me, if I didn't act like that she wouldn't have even considered to come. She acts like a child, innocence and certin wisdoms are strong in her, along with other abilities."

"Whatever. So,"Kisame said slyly,"best friends?"

Itachi just kept on walking in a swift pace.

Ryu ran in to the lair and stopped dead in her tracks, there was a door. She waited. Itachi and Kisame came up finally and they used a number of different hand signs. The door opened.

Ryu walked in and looked around. There was a large statue with nine eyes.
