The scene unfolds showing a man stands by castle gates, wearing armor that radiated holy light when glistening under the suns rays. His broadsword was in hand, which it always was, ready to fight for his kingdom at any moment. Seconds later, a young man walked out the castle gates and spoke with him. The young man wore a white long coat and pants with light armor underneath, blue straps wrapped the coat close to his upper body. His longsword was sheathed at his side.
??: "You all set for tomorrow?" ?????: "I suppose. You?" ??: "Of course! You...aren't worried about how tomorrow's battle will turn out...are you?" ?????: "No, but..." He holds his sword up and looks at it's tip, seeing a glimmer of light come from it. The color of the light seems to be a mix of purple and maroon. ?????: "I have a bad feeling, like somethings going to happen tomorrow that will change the course of the world." ??: "...your not usually one to talk about fate. Don't worry so much." ?????: "Ky..." Ky: "Besides, your one of the best swordsman I've ever known, and the other knights' swordsmanship is nothing to shake a stick at either. We'll be fine, I'm sure of it." ?????: "...I suppose. Just...don't let that confidence of our fighting ability go to your head. After all, a war is not won only by steel." Ky: "Same goes to you!" ?????: "Ha!" Ky: "Heh, glad I cheer you up...Zarak, do you want to get some last minute pratice in?" Zarak: "I thought you'd never ask!"
Casella: "...blessed are the poor in spirit." Jared: "Casella? Is that you?" I looked around me finding nothing but darkness. My voice seemed to echo, but Casella's did not. Casella: "I am here with you Jared." Jared: "Really? But I don't see you anywhere..." Casella: "I am watching over you, guiding you." Jared: "...the guide of souls. I thought for a second you were the newest angel of death when you said that, but I guess I was wrong...in that case, where DO you guide souls?" Casella: "To peace of mind." Jared: "Um, I don't...whoa! WTF?!" Just then a giant boulder of epic proportions fell right in front of me, and then a hill seemed to just appear out of the darkness. Jared: "What in Gehanna's name..." Casella: "Where does your faith lie? Carry the boulder before you up to the top." Jared: "Okaaaay, how am I supposed to do that? I won't even be able to lift it, much less carry it." Casella: "That will not be determined by strength." Jared: "???" Casella: "The power of your faith, what you hold true to. If it is righteous, the weight will be much easier to lift." Jared: "...I see. Well, let's give it a try." I put my hands near the bottom of the boulder. I tried lifting it as much as I could, and instead, I ended up throwing the boulder high into the air. Casella: "..." Jared: "...this doesn't seem that hard." Casella: "I see now...of course..." Jared: "What?" Casella: "You are here to cleanse your body not of your own sins, but the sins of the Soulless One." Jared: "W-Well yes, that was kinda the point-" Casella: "But your sins, and virtues, also affect your strengths to accomplish the tasks at hand as well." Jared: "I...see...oh boy!" Jared jumped backwards, the boulder finally falling back down and slamming against the ground. Jared: "...Heh, well screw carrying it!" Jared picked up the boulder and rolled it up the hill, chasing after it as it went up. Both the boulder and Jared dissappeared within the light at the top of the hill. Though this first task was much easier than both Jared and Casella expected, they both knew, the next challanges wouldn't be so easy to overcome.
