Stench and noise passing through the streets mixing with the sound of adventurers and citizens walking upon the cobblestone streets. The special brew is anything but special, it's the usual tavern filled with drunken soldiers and disgruntled men of all walks of life trying to drown their sorrows. The tavern is overflowing as usual people crammed together with little more than a few centimeters in between men, and yet a amongst the sea of bodies a single figure slips in and out between the cramped spaces like water never stopping just flowing. The figure reaches a dusty table in the back untouched by anything but the faintest candlelight. As the sun continues to fall behind the horizon people filter in and out of the tavern granting some space within the tavern. The cloaked man raises his head ever so slightly to acknowledge the woman walking over to his table. The woman takes a seat across the table and looks at the man as if waiting for him to say something profound or important. "A bit late aren't you?". The two seemed so very different, The man slumped down in his seat his dusty cloak covering his leather armor and his thin beard making him seem older than he was a thin scar ran up his cheek ending just above his eyebrow, the woman was attractive but had little desire to make herself known as she held her grey cape tight her raven black hair falling off to the side showing her slender face and wide smile. "Mr. Alexander I'm surprised you're here after everything that happened last night, guards are probably still looking for you." Alexander raises his hood and looks at the woman knowing that the guards have no actual idea he committed any crime. " I got your letter asking me to meet you here,so what do you want from me priest?" The woman laughed as she always found the assassin's attitude amusing she always figured if he were ever standing before a king he'd most likely snatch his crown and take the throne, but she also knew that he'd never want anything to do with any real power or responsibility." As you know Mr.Alexander I belong to the church of Kaina the angel of strength and willpower and as such we provide many armies with healing and battle chants" Alexander was now paying more attention his ayes set forward and his hand on his chin as he wondered what favor the priest would ask of him. "Mr. Alexander we've been having problems out in the capital of Red Mane as many of our priests have been either killed or kidnapped on their way to help the local infantry units that have been dealing with bands of raiders and thieves" without missing a step Alexander filled in the gaps " you want me to go find out who's at the bottom of this and then you want me to bring them to justice in the name of the light or something right?" The priest nodded in full agreement and as she placed a large bag on the table Alexander arose to his feet and headed for the tavern door the bag already in his possession, it's contents jingling as he walked. " I wish you you would call me by my name Mr.Alexander" Ingram continued to make for the door and as he exited the priest could here his parting words"Do me me favor and show up when your supposed to next time Bethany" The priest smiled as her dangerous friend left letting out a short sigh "I hope he doesn't cause to many problems".

Alexander had done business with many people but always found the priest Bethany difficult to deal with, she never expected him to agree nor did she give him any insults or looks even knowing he had seen more death in his few years than most would in their whole lifetime. Ingram Alexander was not a man that let himself be moved by emotions but it always seemed that Beth was always capable of making him feel...uneasy.He knew that Bethany would never betray him because she was as loyal to her path as healer as he was as a hired killer. Ingram put his trivial thoughts aside and set his sights on the mission. Ingram had been to Red Mane many times and found it to be both one of the safest and at the same time most dangerous places for an assassin. Many swordsman and warriors came to the city to buy weapons from the renown blacksmiths that littered the trade district but the canals was the place for cutthroats and thieves, it was a place to find information and work for it seemed in the city of order all of the non desirables ended up there. Weapons in hand he set his course as his feet sent him swiftly past the town gates and forward onto the long winding road disappearing over the horizon just below the soft glow of his long time companion.
