Everyday Blues
Woke up disoriented after a night of intoxication
This seems to be a constant theme now a days
Mary Jane and Lady Booze are the only women in my life now
At least i'm not crying as much as I used to
I have returned to the state of Ice Man
Why oh why did I let my stony heart soften?
Why didn't I listen to the suggestion to stay safe in solitude?
Why did I think I could find love that wouldn't hurt?
My poor friends, you try so hard to cheer me up
How could you know my sense of self worth depends on that unattainable love which dangled in front of my eyes but then was taken away?
You couldn't have known I'm no White Knight but a battered and broken Don Quixote
Forever reaching for his Dolcinea, thou she's not but flame and air
Better go
Mary Jane and Booze are calling
And this reality of sorrow is only getting me down...
